As a rural food hub, our aim is to promote and support local farms and food makers in the Eastern Adirondacks.

The Hub on the Hill works with the farmers and small food businesses of the Adirondack-North Country region to transform the region's bounty of fresh produce into value-added shelf-stable and frozen products. Our desire to support our local agricultural economy and community, drives our efforts to coordinate the processing of fresh produce into high quality value-added products. Whether processed by farm businesses or our in-house co-packer, Dak and Dill, Inc., the resulting value-added products expand opportunities for farmers and small businesses reaching markets well past the growing season and providing greater diversity. The Hub On The Hill is proud to be a part of the growing Adirondack local food movement.

The brainchild of co-founders Jori and Andy Wekin and Steve Blood, The Hub On The Hill is a non-profit organization inspired and formed around the spirit of collaboration.

More than a decade ago, this trio began to recognize a trend in the craftsman community, wherein small business startups were struggling to manifest due to the high costs and time pressures of production and distribution. Formed to create a shared-use space offering communal resources, The Hub On The Hill allows users to circumvent the otherwise large and daunting stumbling blocks for North Country startups. With the mission of cultivating the dynamic local economy, the space is not only a hub for local food and culture, but also a community space fostering creativity and shared services. 

We strive to connect the missing links in the chain between the craftsman and the consumer, streamlining the production, packaging and distribution of these products. Within our roomy walls, North Country makers have access to a myriad of resources: raw space, commercial kitchen, bulk supplies, equipment, food storage, office space, packaging and labeling materials, marketing, event space, farmers market representation, collaborative ordering systems, workshop and tasting rooms and shared high-quality ingredients.
