The wholesale store is only available to wholesale customers. If you are interested in becoming a wholesale customer, please follow the instructions on this page.

Pickup and Delivery (Retail Customers)

Customers who live along our delivery routes are eligible for home delivery. If you need help determining whether your address is eligible, please email info@essexfoodhub.org and we can let you know!

Based on your location, you are eligible for home delivery either on a specific day of the week. As of winter 2023-2024, deliveries are either on Thursday or Friday. Please be advised that orders must be placed by Sunday at midnight.

During the harvest season (typically May-November) we offer delivery routes on a weekly basis. During the winter season, routes may be reduced to biweekly service.

In late June 2023, we started offering free home delivery to help make the service more accessible to the community. This was made possible in part by our partners at AdkAction and various grant funding that helped offset the distribution costs.

As of January 2024, we are not offering pick up due to our relocation of facilities. We expect to resume this option again at a later date.

AdkAction’s Fair Food Program (Pex cards)

Fair Food is a food subsidy program that helps local people access locally sourced, farm fresh foods. Eligible households are low- and middle-income families in Clinton, Franklin, Essex, and Hamilton Counties.

Participants receive a Fair Food Card, which is a credit card that has been pre-loaded with funds based on household size. Fair Food Cards can only be used to purchase locally-sourced foods from approved farm vendors. The cards are topped up monthly with funds from generous foundation supporters and individual community donors.

Visit their website to learn more and apply for enrollment: https://www.adkaction.org/fair-food/

Fair Food Cards work like a debit or credit card. When you check out, select “Credit card” as your payment method and enter your Fair Food Card information.

First, make sure you are entering your Fair Food Card information correctly and as a credit card at checkout. Seondly, check that the balance on your card is enough to cover the purchase. If you still have issues, reach out to the program managers at AdkAction for assistance by emailing info@adkaction.org.

SNAP/EBT Online Payment

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is a federal program that provides nutrition benefits to supplement the food budget of needy families. Follow this link for more information.

Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) is an electronic system that allows a SNAP participant to pay for food using SNAP benefits. Follow this link for more information.

Currently, SNAP is unable to be accepted because our permits were approved under The Hub on the Hill and tied specifically to the location of our old facilities. We are in the process of acquiring new permits under our new entity, Essex Food Hub, in order to be able to SNAP again online and in person.

The SNAP Retailer Locator allows anyone to locate nearby SNAP-authorized retailers by entering a street address, city and state, or zip code. Enter your starting location and select a retailer or map point to get details and directions. Follow this link for more information.

Double Up Food Bucks NY

Double Up Food Bucks is a nutrition incentive program administered by Field & Fork Network, Inc. It provides SNAP shoppers with a dollar-for-dollar match, up to $20 a day, on fresh, whole produce.

Currently, Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) is unable to be accepted. We are in the process of acquiring new SNAP permits under our new entity, Essex Food Hub, which affects our ability to accept DUFB. We are working to bring these programs back as soon as possible.
